POST: Fisheries Assistant (Grade L)
VACANCY NO: MNRCC/CONF/1/2024
SALARY: Within the Grade L Salary Scale Segment
LOCATION: Capture Fisheries, Aquaculture and Training Centers within Malawi
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be in possession of Certificate in Fisheries Management
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Fisheries Officer (Grade K/TO)
DUTIES
(a) Participating in Capture Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Surveys
(b) Conducting Fisheries Inspectorate activities and enforcing Fisheries regulations
(c) Conducting training sessions for fish farmers and fishing communities
(d) Carrying out production of seed for stocking of Fish in production systems
(e) Ensuring capture fisheries and aquaculture data is collected and updated
(f) Inspecting the quality of Fish and ensure that the safety standards are adhered to by Fish traders and processors
(g) Assisting in general management work at the station; and
(I) Submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
