Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Human Resources Manager at H. Adam Wholesalers, based in Zomba, Malawi. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading recruitment efforts, designing and implementing training and development programs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and creating HR strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HR record systems in line with current employment legislation.
- Coordinate and manage pension, medical, and other insurance policies.
- Administer salaries and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports.
- Mentor and supervise staff to ensure high performance through feedback.
- Maintain and update a staff database for efficient record access.
- Manage disciplinary matters and workers’ compensation.
- Prepare the Personal Emoluments Budget Estimates.
- Maintain the staff establishment and prepare quarterly returns.
- Monitor and facilitate office maintenance, equipment, and services.
- Interpret and implement staff terms and conditions.
- Coordinate recruitment and manage industrial relations matters.
- Supervise and appraise staff performance.
- Monitor daily staff attendance.
- Take notes and prepare reports for HR meetings.
- Provide updates to management on HR issues as needed.
- Work with divisional heads to align staffing with workload needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
