Clinical Technicians at Nsanje District Council

Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Nsanje District Council

POST: Clinical Technicians
Grade : HK/M9

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Clinical Medicine obtained from a recognized University/Institution, and be a registered member of Medical Council of Malawi.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise staff under him/her in daily work of cleaning wards and giving drugs to patients as prescribed;
2. Order drugs and ensure that they are economically used and that dangerous drugs are properly recorded;
3. Diagnose patient’s problems and prescribe treatment;
4. Select patients for review by senior medical officer on his/ her routine visits and send urgent cases for senior medical officer’s actions;
5. Prepare work schedule and monthly returns of patients and staff;
6. Conduct ward rounds.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

1. Must be able to work with minimum supervision
2. Must be a team player and self-starter
