ADVERTISEMENT FOR HR and ADMINISTRATION INTERN

Tilitonse Foundation (TF) is a grant making facility supported by development partners to support Malawian Non-State Actor (NSAs) to engage in societal transformation through catalyzing more accountable, inclusive and responsive governance. The Foundation was established with the following core objectives:

  1. To build capacity in Non-State Actors so as to promote, strengthen, enhance and entrench good governance and build sustainability.
  2. To mobilise and provide funds to NSAs for the promotion and enhancement of good governance in Malawi.
  3. To provide a platform for NSAs for improving inclusivity, transparency, accountability and responsiveness in governance in Malawi
  4. To promote and encourage NSAs to engage in societal transformation through catalysing more accountable, inclusive and responsive governance.

Tilitonse Foundation is looking to recruit for the following positions tenable in Lilongwe, Malawi:

Position: Human Resources and Administration Intern

Scope of Work

The duties and responsibilities of the Intern shall be, but not limited to, the following:

  • Proper filing and safekeeping of administrative files;
  • Provide assistance with logistics of the Foundation;
  • Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence;
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and assist in the planning and preparation of meetings and conference;
  • Coordinate and make travel arrangements for staff members, board members and short-term consultants;
  • Support with procurement including sourcing of quotations for procurement and provide assistance to the Internal Procurement Committee in preparation of procurement documents;
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of grant agreement documents and support Management in drafting memos and general correspondence;
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies;
  • Perform other related duties as required from time to time.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or professional qualification in Business Administration or related field.
  • IT skills particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Duration and timing of the assignment

This is a one-year assignment and is scheduled to take place between August 2024 and August 2025
