TEAM AND ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The Sales Officer is being recruited, in a full-time position (Including Saturday, if needed), to be a part of aQysta Malawi’s team.
  • The Sales Officer will work to expand aQysta’s Grown Farm Incubator in Malawi, on-boarding more market partners, partner organizations and farmers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calling potential customers to inform them about the company’s harvest, and guiding them throughout their purchase journey.
  • Updating the leads’ status in the sales pipeline in the company’s ERP system
  • Achieve the monthly revenue targets assigned, by making thorough sales and action plan.
  • Analyze the market trends to identify new sales opportunities
  • Prepare the weekly sales update and present to the management.
  • Supporting the global marketing team to generate leads, increase company’s presence, and promotional activities by supplying the local information.
  • Other sales-related tasks as assigned

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in the sales and/or business development/marketing domain working closely with market actors in the sales of agri-products/ farmers/farmers groups/ cooperatives.
  • Having a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business studies, commerce, sales management, or BSc in agriculture, with solid sales experience may also qualify.
  • Having practical experience in agriculture value chain development is a plus.
  • Experience in using CRM and ERP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders ranging from farmers, government officials, business partners, and international colleagues.
  • Strong presentation skills (verbal, interactive with preparing slides, etc.).
  • Commendable negotiation skills.
  • Able to plan work and organize the team and oneself.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and proactive in work approach.
  • Candidates possessing a valid driving license will be preferred.

The position will be compensated based on a fixed and variable component based on performance.
