HOTEL MANAGER
Reporting to the Board Chairman, the successful candidate will be responsible, inter alia, for:
- Developing and driving short, medium to long term strategic and implementation plans for the Hotel.
- Coordinating different hotel departments to operate in alignment in order to achieve set goals.
- Preparation of hotel’s annual Opex and Capex budgets in line with hotel’s annual strategic business plans. • Conducting sales calls regularly.
- Ensuring prudent resource utilization, including multitasking staff.
- Ensuring that all preventative maintenance plans are in place and are adhered to at all times.
- Monitoring of weekly departmental expenses against budget.
- Ensuring that all guest feedback and concerns are promptly acted upon.
- Ensuring that trainings are continuously conducted. Staff management.
- Ensuring that the hotel practices high standards in fire prevention, hygiene, health and safety.
To qualify for the position, the successful person should have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel management at middle or senior level.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with credit passes in English and Mathematics.
- A minimum of a Diploma in Hotel Management obtained from any institution recognized by NCHE.
- Excellent organizational, leadership and “hands on” skills.
- An “all-rounder” who can handle multiple tasks to ensure seamless service delivery.
