Founded in 1987, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to over 1,900,000 patients in 45 countries. In Malawi, AHF is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to strengthen access to quality treatment for HIV/
AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). AHF Malawi is providing these services in 27 hard-to-reach health facilities in Dedza, Lilongwe, Ntcheu, Chikwawa, and Nsanje Districts.
To accomplish its goals in the nation, AHF Malawi is seeking highly qualified and experienced candidates for the following employment opportunities.
Data Clerk
Position Title: Data Clerk
Reports to: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Duty Stations: Kasinje Health Centre in Ntcheu (1), Ndamera Health Centre in Nsanje (1)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all records for the HIV program are in order, well updated and secured.
- Perform administrative tasks related to data management such as filing, retrieval of relevant information and capturing of facility data.
- Ensure that all data management and reporting tools are present at the facility.
- Collect weekly, monthly, quarterly and benchmark clinic data and submit accordingly.
- Enter all data into Web Portal and Excel for reporting purposes.
- Assist the facility to generate mechanisms for tracing patients who miss appointments, and those who default treatment.
- Track and report HIV positive clients, including their referrals outcomes.
- Support other facilities that need assistance with data collection and reporting.
- Attend cluster data meetings.
Qualifications, experience, and other attributes
- One-year certificate from college or technical college, or three-year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificate in Information Processing
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Access, MS Office, MS Excel and Ms Word.
- Maintain 99% accuracy with data entry.
