DISEASE CONTROL SURVEILLANCE ASSISTANT
GRADE: HM
SALARY: Within grade M scale segment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must be a holder of MSCE with credits in Mathematics, English, Biology and Chemistry
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve link between fixed district health services and community and work directly with village/community leaders and workers
- Conduct community assessment, village inspections, monitor growth and report disease outbreak
- Participate with the other in providing immunization, maintaining equipment and
improving the quality of water by protecting shallow wells and chlorinating untreated water - Prepare monthly work plans
- Provide feedback to the community
- Supervise VHCs and volunteers and refer patients and suspects to the nearest
- Treating minor ailments and facilities formation and training of village health committees (VHCs)and volunteers
